Jesús María is a close-knit, safe little town of 7,000 people in the highlands of Jalisco.  The Castro family: Javier, Flavio, Jesus and Alejandro, all who originally are from Jesús María had been spending significant time trying to help the orphanages in many areas which are overwhelmed with orphans.  The Castro family committed to build an orphanage in the town of Jesús María to house some of these children.  A local celebrity, Señora Silvia, who lives in TX and owns some plots of land in Jesús María, generously donated 7,000 square meters of land for the orphanage.  This was game-changing as the orphanage could now be created from scratch, rather than retrofitting an existing building which is most always the case for an orphanage.  Gabriela and Alejandro Lopez who employ many in Jesus Maria also jumped in to help in a strong way.  These creators researched what develops self-esteem in orphans and used those insights in the design of this orphanage.

After the initial construction phase, the project slowed down due to lack of funds and the date of completion was years away.  However, as luck would have it, Jenna Fagnan and Ken Austin, who spend significant time in Jesús María making tequila with the Lopez family jumped into the fundraising bringing with them many of their partners.  The orphanage is beginning to welcome children and will house 140 at-risk children.  These children will now have the opportunity to dream and a loving community surrounding them to help make those dreams a reality.

Please help us elevate these children and give them the opportunity to grow into compassionate, productive and happy adults.
